no one was presented with the unique oppurtunity of becoming the hostmaster of a site which promises to be one of the most popular irc quotes databases. However, not only did no one become the hostmaster, but the lead programmer.

Development in progress

Website Preview

This site is an irc quotes database, now while that may seem relatively simple, the site eventually has to handle 10,000+ quotes. While the other quotes databases allow anonymous submission of quotes, no websites have take the initiative to personalise the website for it's users, this is no one's aim for this website, giving users exactly what they want. no one has currently performed a Make Over on this website, and optimised the backend by at least 45%.

hosting.NevyN.Net visit eXtensible Hosting

no one moves into the next phase of his buisness plan, and launches a website for low cost, high quality web hosting services.

The aim of this site is simplicity in order to make the content understandable to both webmasters and new comers. The colours have been revised for a more professional edge, in comparision to "design by no one". eXtensible Hosting is no one's first attempt in purism, that is, perfectly clean mark-up, without abusing div tags. In the near future, several style sheets will be created, and the user will be provided with choice. As usual, CSS 2.0, XHTML 1.1 and PHP were utilized in the development of this site.

no one was approached with the proposal of creating a New Site for intriguing quasi-intellectual discussion on any topic. no one eagerly accepted this proposal, albeit on a small budget, to make a very professional looking site, that surprises people when they go to it.

The aims of this site were readability and contrast with the full use of no one's coding ability. Thus CSS 2.0, XHTML 1.1 and PHP were utilized in the development of this site. Being on a small budget, it was actually quite easy to get this project completed in a little over a week, a lot of the requirements were met by modifying the self coded scripts on other parts on no one's network, mainly the Toowoomba LAN Games website.

Only Her visit Only Her

This was a Make Over of OnlyHer's attempted design (using CSS 2.0) and no one was challenged to recreate a layout more suited for old school html tables rather than transitonal XHTML 1.1 utilising CSS 2.0.

Igor, approached no one seeking assistance in conversion of the design of his "Only Her" main page to one utilising CSS 2.0 and the code cleaned up to XHTML 1.1 Transitional. This was quite a challenge as the original code was to haphazard to just reformat and no one spent about six hours recoding and perfecting the site layout. no one was considerate and did this site for only fifty dollars and a tagline on the bottom of the main page for design.nevyn.net to help promote no one's unique services. The code was optimised by 52% overall.

Toowoomba LAN Games (TLG) visit Toowoomba LAN Games

This was a complete redesign of Toowoomba LAN Games existing website. no one was challenged to create a site which was enjoyed by all kinds of gamers.

In order to make a site for a community like this, not only the existing content is required, but a dynamic website where the user can participate in game ratings, mini-forums and general lan planning, feedback and enjoyment. A high level of technical accuracy is also required, because if something breaks, the community will be nibbling at your heels straight away! :)

PriceWatch Australia visit PriceWatch Australia

This was a Make Over of PriceWatch's existing design and no one was also challenged to complete various web programming tasks, some of which were definitely not the easiest (see Lukian in the tasks list).

List of Tasks Performed

Website Preview

Koobs, the managing director of PriceWatch Australia approached no one for his newfound web programming skills, this site successfully updated to XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2.0 and numerous web programming tasks were also completed, exponentially increasing no one's experience and quality of web programming.

This site is somewhat a dream of no one's, ever since no one had seen pricewatch.com - the us site, no one immediately checked for an .au presence, and it didn't exist, however at that time no one was only a kid, and had no idea how to go about creating a website, let alone a purchasing a domain

NVRefreshTool (NVRT) visit NVRefresh Tool

A Make Over of NV Refresh Tool's existing design which required several hours of coding. The final result was well worth it, with no one learning how to correctly position content on a site in accordance with the latest standard for coding, XHTML 1.1, in which the "align" element has been removed in favor of CSS 2.0.

Development not available yet

Website Preview

The owner of NVRefreshTool application and website approached no one wishing for their site to be updated from it's outdated layout which used only tables and invalid HTML 4.01. no one successfully updated this site to XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2.0, and made the majority of it readable on any device (such as a Pocket PC) or by any browser by conforming it to these standards.

The entire site will be redesigned around May for a new product. If designed by no one, not just the current codebase, but the whole site will be conformed to all known standards.

technews.NevyN.net visit TechNews beta

no one's blog started out with the latest in interesting, and even unseen technews; however, it has become more personal and no one wishes to continue with the tech news separately

This will be a multi-user administered site, with various people other than the designer adding news, so the aim is to keep the interface as simple as possible, with the news posters and forum users having to code no more than line breaks, links and paragraphs.

This project has been put on hold while no one is relatively busy with university work and would rather focus on other projects, such as websites any clients are offering.

reality.NevyN.net visit Reality

The reality is that no one is actually a person, and is quite tired of being ignored in reality, but prominent in the virtual world.

Stage 1

Website Preview

The Realm of no one crumbles, with only a few page hits a day Nevyn has decided to move his Realm into that of Reality.
no one has decided to take Realm to Level 2, display himself and his family for who they truly are, and add more personal "family" events to a blog. Such events include Christmas, New Years, holidays, university, jobs and family weddings. If you wish to know more about no one and family, see about The Name.

design.NevyN.net

design by no one, the realisation that dreams can come true. For many years no one has wanted a design site for clients, but only recently did no one realise that this was now a possibility.

If you have read the history of no one, you will understand that the dream of no one for the last few years was to create a web design company allowing absolutely everyone, from kids to well founded businesses, a presence on the web. no one strongly believes that if you don't have a web presence you are missing out on something from life in this wonderful time in which we live.

This website, with your support (by becoming my clients), will help me realise this dream and help you receive exactly what you are after, a site for your customers or quite simply friends and visitors.

Pacific College's 2004 Creative Project

Creativity is the essence of design, some say no one has no imagination; however, no one simply refrains from using it because when imagaination is used, the results are not only the production of physical object but an emotional one.

Logo Preview

A unexpected by interesting project where the head of english at Pacific College approached design by no one for a logo for an upcoming "creative project" (which is basically a mixture of Drama, Arts and talent). The name of this project is YForce (Generation Y) and the client decided that it would look excellent on a number plate, giving me a brief of making it look good, after all, just sticking a black and white (or even mildly colored numberplate on a school notice board isn't going to do much.. so several designs suggestions were put forward, the first being something "slate" like but it took a while to arrive at that destination, a variety of excellent design were found enroute, and contributed to the overall success of the the final design

St Lucia Orchestra - Interface Design visit St Lucia Orchestra

This project was not in no one's tastes for class work, but no one would be pleased to do this for a real client. The reality is that most of no one's real world sites have tripled in quality since doing this university course.

St Lucia Orchestra was the major project of the university course ADN215: Interface design. The aim of this course is to implement correct design and navigation around the most important part of a website, the content. This is the journal which I kept for the course and is typical of what you as a client client will receive throughout the design of your website

Queensland PIPE Guide visit Queensland PIPE Guide

This was no one's first truly "complete" website, once adhered to 508 and AAA (Accessibility), XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2.0, I literally got tears in my eyes, the difficulty of making a website which adhere's to an insane level of standards and still looks good and works perfectly in every browser is the ultimate challenge, which I readily accept on all my projects.

This started out as a subsection of realm.NevyN.net and quite quickly expanded into a seperate subdomain, being no one's most visited and useful site. This site provides queensland file sharers the ultimate collection of information they require to leech via PIPE Networks to their heart's content. This website started out as a plain text document, as do most websites, although they may be a formatted word document also and gradually merged into realm.nevyn.net with the addition of style sheets and visitor comments.

realm.NevyN.net

All webmasters have a personal website, but most are too scared to show their clients exactly what they believe in and are like in the real world.

The aim of this website is to introduce me to the world of domains, web hosting, and it had the good side effect of expanding my coding skills into languages such as PHP, MySQL and ASP. It was also to update "The Waste of Time Website" into a more casual formal design with the addition of a weblog, which is an excellent tool to keep visitors coming back. This website is constantly under construction, it demonstrates no one's current level of knowledge with PHP, CSS and Tableless (best practise!) website design. design.NevyN.net actually uses a much more efficient and updated codebase in comparison to my first "attempt" which you can see functioning perfectly on realm.NevyN.net, however the realm of no one is soon to take over the existing php/html codebase and replace it with a php/MySQL base offering superior administration and update speed for no one's weblog. Even if a site is under construction there is no need to say so with an annoying flashing animated gif or large header sized font. Sites which are under construction and are actually updated have no such need of the aforementioned. The moment a "last updated" date is added, your site is out of date, this can easily be overcome by adding dated news, because news is allowed in the minds of people to become old and outdated, as long as a website is updated at least quarterly, it is still fully functional to the visitors.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church visit Good Shepherd

The success of webmasters depends on a few trusted clients who praise them for their work we are all proud of those sites no matter what others think of their content!

Thankfully I have one site which (although being updated rarely) is an excellent example of my webmastering, eventually this site will include MySQL (I think) databases of the sermons for easy access to people all around the world, and yes, people from many different countries visit this website, I'm shocked every time I check the counter on the site. This site started out as a true client would, a website committee and drafts of the website were created and released to the designer. From there on, content was added regularly and once the PHP/MySQL codebase has been learnt, written and is performing perfectly the entire collection of Good Shepherd's pastor's sermons will be added to the site, there is even a plan to webcast the sermons online in the near future! This is a truly interesting project and no one is proud to be more than just a webmaster of this site.

IrcZone visit IrcZone

If webmasters do not prove they have failed, how can they show you they still have courage to go on? We have all failed at least once and here is no one's failure.

Every once in a while, comes a failure, IRCZone didn't set me any guidelines and I was lazy in doing something with it, I was scrapped from design, and put onto code optimising, which ended up with me being kicked off the webmastering team. This happened quite simply because no one renamed and re-coded the files by hand, about 2 hours of work, and the guy (son of the network owner) had no clue about FTP and had used FrontPage to create the site, and "couldn't access the files". IrcZone website quickly dated, as I was the only one who ever did updates to it. A new site is under construction, and the nicer guy doing it, says I can optimise, but I have no clue what's happening with it.
Update: the network is now deceased and has moved to a new server which already had a site; however, they know about my design skills there, and if any sites are required, they'll talk to me.

The original WoT website started out with a blue background and a GOOD index, even though i did not know it at the time. The updated version acquired a black dark background and added some rather insane special effects not to mention the shocking drop-down menu system which no one realised at a later date caused the hits to drop off dramatically. Finally, was the attempted update with the light blue background and weblog, but it didn't suit my style, and the CSS was all outdated. Then a WoT proposed sketch was created and eventually emerged realm.nevyn.net and all the content within!
