Ben Just testing some of the email links. When you open the pages linked ignore the "First Page"; I needed a 'Default' page to run the pages. The links that should be working are "Contacts", "Photo Gallery", "Home" and "Street Finder". Colours, style, layout, etc. Need some feedback and ideas on your theme. Will change mine to suit yours. http://home.austarnet.com.au/whypaint/default.htm Ben I'm not sure if this works but here goes. I edited the ParaVista.org.au page with Front Page as a learning experience. I found it easy to edit. To make life easier do you think we can capture ideas from sites and edit them to suit Good Shepherd? Have you got any colors that you feel will work well for the theme. The photo on the edited ParaVista page is just a snap of the GoodShepherd external and is there just to fill space. The top corner has the alter cross as a logo. We'll have to edit a collage for ourselves. I thought we could maybe get something up there and modify it with feedback suggestions; which means we'll have to word the guest book with a suggestion space? Dom Ben & Pastor; attached is a copy of Pastor Pauls Colour coding drawing. Hope it worked. The file is a JPG. Regards Dom Sorry Heidi, I tried to enter the site and had problems also. Try http://home.austarnet.com.au/whypaint/index.htm Dear Heidi, Anyways, I've been playing with the site and loaded it to my host (austarnet/ we have 20mb space) so Ben can visualise it and direct me on what he perceives the site to be. By going to the austar host we all, as a group, can have input into it prior to being published with I.C.R. The address is www.home.austarnet.com.au/whypaint/index.htm all the links on the left of the page are current but the pages are mostly empty. There are currently 11 pages with links to umteen others for 'Sermons', 'Messenger', etc. My jag site is www.ddjagsregister.homestead.com (this is a similar address that I.C.R. will eventually offer) If you get time have a quick squizzy at it and compare what is possible with a full program (not Front Page). Happy surfing Dom P.S. let me know if the address doesn't work please. Dear Team, Grace to you and peace from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. At our last meeting, we talked about what logo we would like for the Messenger Cover, (and maybe also what we would like to go onto our Web page?), and now look what has arrived from our intrepid Dom, who has been busy taking photos at the church and playing around with the images. Well done! This is what Dom wrote: The photos I sent were just to let you see the process from a photo to mild editing through to a pencil like logo. The 'cross drawing bmp' is the item I'd personnally recommend. It is an outline style, prints clearly, small in file sze, easily added to any document and similar to the original format. If you or the team wish for a photo realistic version I will edit from the original photo; selecting the cross and deleting the background. This way the brickwork will stay as well as the timber of the crosses. regards Dom I’m emailing the 4 pieces of Dom’s artwork in two emails, hoping that everyone’s servers will cope! Let me know what you think, if you have time to do such a thing! In Christ, Heidi 3. Good Shepherd Website 3.1 Dom reported on his current inability to be able to load new material onto the existing website. Dom will see Dale at ICR re this problem. 3.2 Discussion followed re future plans for the site, and the need for new material which is uploaded to be ratified by Pastor and discussed at the General Pub Group. 3.3 Ben Fischer will be away from Toowoomba for study this year. Heidi to ask what Ben would like to do for the Pub Team this year (if anything) RESOLVED: In the light of the Pub Team's desire to continue using digital photos and scanned photographic images within 'The Messenger' and the Good Shepherd website, we would like to recommend to the Church Council that the congregation consider buying a digital camera and a scanner for Church Office use. 2. Brain-stormed what could go onto the GS Website (as well as the Messenger content) * Homepage: Picture of Church Complex from the front corner Picture of Pastor and inside of the church altar area Contact details (email/phone number) Church worship times (Watermark of GS emblem in the background?) * Click on to view: Pastor's sermons What Lutherans believe (doctrinal and constitutional?)
